EMAIL SENT TO CHURCH BODY ON TUESDAY, MARCH 17TH
Greetings Coastline Navarre!! In accordance with recommendations of the CDC & the President of the United States urging organizations to suspend gatherings of greater than 10 people, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily suspended all church gatherings and activities and have elected to go to a LIVE online broadcast of our weekly services for the next couple of weeks.
Despite a short period of not gathering in larger groups, the lights aren’t out, the doors are not locked and the church doesn’t cease, in fact the opposite is true! Church isn’t a building or a destination, WE ARE THE CHURCH! And we have an amazing opportunity before us to LOVE, CONNECT and be on MISSION in a world that’s kind of shell-shocked, confused and looking for answers – possibly more than ever.
Our staff and pastors are available and engaged and we urge each of you to stay plugged in to our fellowship here at Coastline Navarre. We are praying for your health, safety, and wellness during this time. Please communicate any concerns or needs and if you’d like to be a part of our COASTLINE VOLUNTEER RESPONSE TEAM (to COVID19), see below for more information to get plugged in.
COASTLINE LIVE (NAVARRE)
We will GO LIVE each Sunday morning at 8:30am with our regular Sunday worship service (only staff will be physically present). We will rebroadcast the service at 10am and 11:30am as well. Please gather your families and tune-in to be blessed in worship & the word of God!
CONNECT GROUPS
We are encouraging group by group decisions about gathering together to pray, connect and get in the word. Some may want to host “Watch Parties” to view Sunday services LIVE, have some further study and Q&A, but others (especially sick or elderly), may want to suspend these gatherings for now. Either way, please stay connected and reach out if you have any needs.
KIDS, TEENS & FAMILIES
What a wonderful opportunity for families to unplug and reconnect with one another. How about a hike or bike ride? A game of Monopoly or Pictionary? A daily family devotion from RightNow Media (see below)? This is a great time to invest in your marriage, in quality time with your kiddos and to slow down the pace of life for a while.
If you are working and have dire childcare needs due to school closures, please reach out by registering for assistance here
Here’s some other ways to redeem the time & be intentional:
· Eat meals around the table
· Go outside on a picnic
· Play a game of hide & seek
· Memorize 1 scripture verse together with whole family per day
· Make phone calls to check in on family members & neighbors
· Take SILLY pics together and post online!
· Simultaneous quiet times inside or outside
· Make a FUN video and post online
· Write letters to elderly in nursing homes
Although we are unable to meet in person, we still want to be able to communicate God’s truth in engaging ways. Orange (our Kids Ministry Curriculum) has created a weekly video presentation that goes along with our current First Look(preschool) and 252 Kids (elementary and preteen) curriculum, which you can find here:

BE ENCOURAGED
We realize that the spread of this virus has caused a great deal of fear and anxiety.
God's Word is so reassuring! We are reminded that "God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind" (1Timothy 1:7)
We are encouraged to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
We pray that you will find peace and comfort as we trust our Heavenly Father for guidance and protection. We will endeavor to work together to serve our church and community in a way that demonstrates our trust in God.
We will continue to provide necessary updates to you via email and on our website at coastlinenavarre.com
Please continue to pray for our community, nation, and our entire world during this crucial time, especially for those who are directly impacted by the virus.
May the LORD Bless and Keep you,
Coastline Calvary Chapel Navarre Leadership Team
